WILDLIFE  SANCTUARIES

Wildlife Sanctuaries:  The Administrative Department, through official notification, can,  Designate an area as a wildlife sanctuary with a name.  Select a part of a nature reserve as a wildlife sanctuary.  The main purposes are to,  Protect breeding of wildlife species.  Allow environmental monitoring and law enforcement.

Preserve the area as an undisturbed wildlife breeding ground. Regulate public access. Safeguard the area’s forest and vegetation cover. Prohibited activities within a wildlife sanctuary include,  Permanent residence.  Land cultivation. Damage to vegetation. Hunting. Use of firearms. Introducing exotic species. Bringing in domestic animals or letting them roam.  Water pollution.
